The Team

Dr. Kamean is a board-certified gastroenterologist born and raised in New York where he attended The Mount Sinai Medical School where he completed his internship and residency. His fellowship was done at The Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.  Atlanta magazine in 2024 selected him as one of their top docs in Atlanta.  He has extensive training and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions such as colon cancer prevention, polyp removal,  Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis,  hemorrhoid therapy , IBS, and GERD.  Dr. Kamean emphasizes the importance of preventive care and works closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans. He is a dedicated gastroenterologist committed to helping you achieve optimal digestive health.  

Annie has been with Atlanta Digestive Center as Dr Kamean's medical assistant for over 20  years.   Her role involves not only assisting with procedures, treatments, intakes and medications but also offering education and emotional support to help you feel confident and informed about your health.  She has a strong understanding of gastroenterological conditions and treatments and is skilled at supporting both the medical team and our patients with the utmost care and professionalism. 

Jarissa is the front desk receptionist, and is your first point of contact at our practice. Her role is to ensure that your experience with us starts off smoothly and positively. She has an extensive background in customer service and is here to schedule appointments, manage your inquiries, and making sure you have everything you need for a successful visit. 

Stephanie is the scheduler, and her primary role is to ensure that your appointments and scheduling needs are handled efficiently whether you’re booking a routine check-up or a more specialized consultation such as imaging and procedures. She is here to answer any questions you might have about your appointment, help with rescheduling if necessary, and ensure that you have all the information you need before your visit. 

Ashley has been with Dr. Kamean for 5 years. She is a dedicated professional specializing in medical billing for gastroenterology, bringing a wealth of experience and a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes. She is dedicated to helping you navigate the intricate billing landscape, so you can concentrate on your care.
